Drawing: Study of Becka
Well, it’s late and I’ve already been politely reminded to head to bed, so I’m not going to stay up any longer to talk at you about how I drew this except to say that it’s (obviously) a digital drawing and I’ll write another post about the software and process tomorrow.
This is a portrait of my beautiful wife, Bex, using photo reference, by me using mixed media. You can click the image for a slightly larger version.

As always, improbably good at art. I find you highly suspicious.
If I were more awake, I’d say something witty now.
As you were.
Thanks! At some point I mean to set up an online gallery so I can display my work in a bit better order. I used to have one years ago but lost everything in a hard drive crash (I still have all the images, but the gallery software itself was toast.) One of these days.
I love this one. Bex looks so coy; like she is hiding a sneaky secret.
Yes, she does—suppressing a giggle, perhaps (not the entirely charitable variety either!).
I’m probably going to pick this up and continue it to polish it a bit more at some point; it was really meant just to familiarise myself with the new software. By the time I was done working on Marc’s portrait I felt like I knew the software pretty well, so I guess we’ll see how the next one goes (when the muse is upon me).
